Yes! I get so tired of being pigeonholed as mean and “intolerant.” Do what you want in your own bedroom. I don’t care. Every couple should have rights of inheritance. Whatever. Have three (of age) wives. Just don’t commit tax fraud. I really do not care. Really.

BUT QUIT TAXING THE HELL OUT ME FOR SOCIAL PROGRAMS THAT DON’T WORK AND DON’T TRY TO RUN MY LIFE.

I am just like you and guess what? Most Republican women I know are fiscally conservative and socially left of the democratic party. Media doesn’t like to like to share this fact, though. I know Cindy and I would expect this about her. And, she DOES read blogs, so she may read this after all!

That’s shocking to me. I loathed her during the election and would never have imagined that she would do something that flies in the face of everything that the republican party stands for right now. Courageous. And, like you said, a beautiful image.

Not only do I agree with her stance, I love that she is her own person and not keeping quiet for the sake of supporting her husband’s political views. I’ve never understood why husbands and wives are expected to agree politically or it is some disloyal scandal. Sigh.

I, too, am a fiscal conservative and social liberal…which means supporting “traditional” candidates from either party is a real pain-in-the-heinie.
