My wife surprised me with a trip to Napa for my 40th birthday last year, complete with a limo wine tour. We thoroughly enjoyed the wineries. The wine pourers (not sure what they call themselves) were so knowledgable and willing to discuss anything vino. We had a couple cool Matt-type pourers. Honestly, I can't remember the names of the wineries that we visited with the exception of Constantino which we ended up joining their wine club. I'm glad you had such an enjoyable trip to Napa (& California for that matter)....Yeah, money does not buy class, sophistication or taste....I totally agree. What did you think of Chandon? We thought it was a beautiful tourist trap after we spent some time at some vineyards getting that 1:1 treatment you got. But I liked the bubbly. We really love Napa. A good friend of mine from childhood is moving there next year, and I told her she may as well invest in an extra guest room because she'll get tired of us camping out on her couch.
