Hello all,
“The Man” here, taking over the blog for a day. I want to start by saying that behind every good blogger is a spouse with either a lot of patience or a substance abuse problem. You spend countless hours listening to the clickety click click of the keyboard with random laughs, snorts and giggles that seem to come out of nowhere with no rhyme or reason. You hear unbelievable stories about people you’ll never know from places you’ve never seen. It must be similar to being a blind person addicted to soap operas.
Not that it’s all bad, it definitely means that you have full control of the TV. You also have full control of the children, dog , cat and any natural disasters that could arise. The only time your blogger comes up for air is during power outages. I’m sure that they will determine that blogging is an addiction or disease any day now so that the drug companies can come up with some sort of blogging methadone. Maybe a keyboard that you wear around your neck that makes IM sounds randomly to give you that warm fuzzy bloggy feeling.
Don’t get me wrong, I love my blogger. Blogging has made her happier than I have ever seen her. She has always fancied herself as a writer trapped in an advertising body. The inner genius that is just waiting to be released on the red carpet. Then, they will finally realize that it is she, not Angelina or Jennifer or Paris that should have the honor to wear the new Manolo’s or Gucci’s or Christian Louboutins to the premiere of “The Stiletto Mom” movie. The swag will be flowing and hotel suites will be filled with every type of heel known to man. They will be sent by the designers, gratis, of course.
But until then, I’ll just keep adding shoe cubes to the shelves and making more room for that latest pair of black patent leather pumps that will be perfect for any occasion. So keep reading this blog. She loves writing it, and it keeps her from yelling at me.

Please, please, please tell me that the “Paris” you are referring to is the city of lights and not the frequently lit up socialite! My dear Mary Anne’s name should never, EVER be mentioned in the same name.
BTW: Dear Man, I feel like I know you, even though we’ve never met. Hopefully, one day soon we will.
Oh, and Man, another thing, can I just tell you, not only has Mary Anne’s blogging made her so happy, but it’s made me so happy as well. I’m thrilled that I found her. The first post I ever read? I think it was the one where the garbage can wasn’t quite put in it’s proper place. Another fave of mine is when you told Mary Anne you didn’t like her purse. She had the best come back. EVER.
Fifty four comments? Maybe you should start your own blog! Eh? What would it be? Cole Haan Dad? Think about it.
Okay, so I don’t know if your wife told you this or not, but I tend to get a bit stalkery. So, yeah, um, I’m back. I don’t know how many comments I’ll be able to leave between my real-life job, stalking celebrities at Sundance (it’s that time again!) and trying to work up the courage to actually post on my site again. For some odd reason, I’m more at ease commenting on someone’s post that I’ve never met than actually attacking one of my own on my site. Sigh.
Well, that was weird. I didn’t want to have my last comment end on a downer. I’d like to leave you with something uplifting, only, it’s early here in Utah and nothing quite awesome has happened this morning. I’m commenting on your post here from my work office, so chances are they will pull a report that I lurked this site for a good 30 minutes. Trust me, it’s much better that they discover I visited this site rather than the other stuff I surf.
Please don’t think that I surf bad sites or anything. I’m an upstanding young *cough* woman and I DO have values…unlike Paris Hilton.
And there we have it. I’ve successfully bookended my comments. I started with a Paris reference and I ended with one. I don’t have much going for me, but at least I’ve got that.
One day we will all be attending the 1st Annual Blogger Awards. That is how big it is going to be. My husband and kids peek in the room all the time giving me strange looks when I howl with laughter.

My husband always says he doesn’t recognize me unless my face is lit by the glow coming off the computer screen. That post pretty much describes it really.
Great post! I think this is the common sentiment amongst the blogger’s significant other. I hear the same thing just about everyday. But I think you made the best point of all of them…it keeps us from yelling!

Blogging IS an addiction but I doubt there’s a cure. I went on vacation last weekend and was dying to get back to the hotel to check my comments. So not cool.
